Making A Purchase To buy any products from The Cross and Chain Company, just browse our online Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into your Shopping Cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need before we can satisfy the order.

We accept payment by most credit/ debit cards and we use HSBC Bank secure payment processing to verify credit card payments online in a secure server.

You can change the product or quantity in your order, or delete items, by viewing your Shopping Cart and making the necessary changes there. You are only committed to purchasing any item after you have entered your payment details and completed the Checkout process, when a Receipt will be displayed that you can print for your records. Please ensure you have a printer connected and working, to print your Receipt.

You will receive an E-mail acknowledgement from us detailing your order. This does not constitute acceptance of your order by us, and is for your information only and to comply with EU E-Commerce regulations. Details of your order will be held electronically on file by us and you should E-mail or call us if you wish to query it.
Shipping And Handling We have a simple flat-rate carriage charge for delivery within the UK of £2.95 per order. If delivery is outside the UK please contact us for the current carriage charge. Please note we are not responsible for the payment of import duties that may be levied in your country. Please check with your Customs Department if necessary, concerning Import Duties that may be levied on your order.
Delivery Schedule We aim to despatch stock items the same or next working day. If we cannot deliver goods within 30 days, we will advise you and offer you the opportunity to retain the item on order with us.
All goods are sent by special delivery or recorded delivery within the UK and will normally arrive 1 to 5 working days after your order is placed. A signature is required on receipt. ( If no-one is there to sign for the item , Royal Mail will leave a ' We're holding an item of mail for you ' card at the delivery address. This card gives you the address and opening hours of your local delivery office, so you can pop in and pick up your mail, or you can telephone them and ask for your mail to be re-delivered when you'll be in )
Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you and ship as soon as it becomes available. In the unlikely event of any undue delay arising in completing your order, we will contact you by E-mail and offer you the option of cancelling your order and refunding if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges No tax charges are applicable to our prices, however please be aware that overseas orders may attract import duties and other charges. Please consult your own Customs Department for advice in your own country.
Credit Card Security For your peace of mind, we use HSBC Bank secure card processing to verify and process credit card payments. Additional security and verification measures are also used to help eliminate fraud. Your payment details are processed in a secure environment exclusively by HSBC Bank, and details are not held in plain text on any web site.
Guarantee In the unlikely event of a manufacturing fault becoming apparent within 12 months of purchase, we will be pleased to exchange or repair the item at our discretion. Please contact us by email before returning any item ( see also ' Returns Policy ' below ).

Unsolicited E-mails

The Cross and Chain Company will never release your details to any other party for marketing or advertising reasons.
We will not contact you other than in relation to a specific order, or at your request., or in response to communication initiated by yourself.
Returns Policy We hope you will be delighted with your purchase. If, however, you are not completely satisfied you may return the item to us for a refund as outlined below:-

Under the distance selling regulations you are entitled to cancel the contract between us within 7 days ( starting the day after you receive the goods ). To cancel the contract you must contact us, by letter or email, within this period. You must return the item(s) unworn, in perfect condition, and in it's ( their ) original presentation box(es). You will be responsible for any postage & handling costs incurred in returning the item(s) to us. We will refund the original payment ( including our postage & handling charges ) in full within 30 days of you cancelling the agreement.

In addition to your statutory rights we offer an extended period during which you may return items for a refund
( excluding postage & handling charges ). This period extends to 30 days ( starting from the day after you receive the goods ). Please contact us by letter or email within this period and return the item(s) unworn, in perfect condition, and in it's ( their ) original presentation box(es). We recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery and insuring the item(s) appropriately as we cannot accepl liability for lost or damaged goods.

Any costs we incur in recovering goods from you will be deducted from any sum refunded.

Every item is inspected before dispatch, but in the unlikely event of a faulty product being sent out, we will be pleased to either exchange or refund the item in full ( including postsge costs ) within the 30 day period. In addition, should a manufacturing fault become apparent within 12 months of receipt we will be pleased to exchange or repair the item at our discretion. Remittance Terms Payment is accepted in UK pounds sterling only.
We accept payment online by Visa, Mastercard, Visa Electron, Maestro and Solo cards. We are also pleased to supply goods on payment by cheque but a period of at least seven working days is required for cheques to clear before we are are able to dispatch your goods. JEWELLERY AND CHILDREN - ESSENTIAL READING......

Jewellery is a potential choking hazard for babies and very small children and therefore should not be worn or handled by those under three years of age. We recommend that gifts intended for very young children ( to celebrate baptism for example ) are bought as a ' keepsake ' of the special occasion, to be worn in future years.
