Descriptions

It is important to us that you are delighted with any goods you purchase from The Cross and Chain Company. We therefore take great care in providing accurate descriptions and photographs of all our products.

May we particularly draw your attention to the information on CROSS LENGTH. This measurement represents the length of the cross from top to bottom, excluding the bale ( the loop through which the chain passes ). We feel this is the most effective way of indicating the size of the cross, and would advise customers to check this before making a purchase. ( All measurements are approximate. )

Chain Lengths

The style of chain has been carefully selected to suit each cross, and is offered at the length we feel would be appropriate for the majority of our customers. An alternative chain length and price is often shown. If, however, you have other specific requirements, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

Natural Variations

By their nature, some items ( for example containing shell or amber ) will show variations in colour or pattern from one cross to another. Every effort is made to ensure that the photograph shown is a fair representation.

Jewellery and Children - essential reading ...

Jewellery is a potential choking hazard for babies and very small children and therefore should not be worn or handled by those under three years of age. We recommend that gifts intended for very young children ( to celebrate baptism for example ) are bought as a ' keepsake' of the special occasion, to be worn in future years.

Hallmarking

Our crosses and chains come in a variety of materials. All gold or silver items comply with U.K. hallmarking legislation. For information on hallmarking visit the Birmingham Assay Office web site.

Conflict Diamonds

Presentation Boxes

Each cross comes beautifully presented in a blue and cream Cross and Chain Company pendant box ( with the exception of ' Special Occasions ' crosses which come in their own classic white Cross and Chain Company boxes ).

We are pleased to offer a gift wrapping service for your special gifts.

There is a charge of £ 1.95 per item

We offer a choice of two colour schemes ( A or B ). Whilst every effort is made to supply your item gift wrapped as shown, it is possible that, depending on availability, materials may vary slightly from those illustrated. However, you can be assured that the colour schemes and overall style will be comparable.
